Mustang Midget (U18)

Mustangs are currently looking for 2 Defence and 2 Forwards to finalize our roster for the upcoming season.  Team is based out of Lethbridge but will practice in Lethbridge and Stavely throughout the season.  We are not affiliated with Hockey Alberta or Hockey Canada, therefore we have no border restrictions with players.    Our focus is on development by providing maximum on ice training.  Instead of focusing each practice on game play and tactics, we work to develop the skills necessary for each player to win the one on one battles on the ice.  That is why we have had numerous players that have gone back to Minor Hockey to play at the AAA and AA level each year.

Why play for the Mustangs?

- 60+ hours of team practice on weekends in Stavely, Lethbridge and other community rinks (free to use weeknights for studying and other sports).  Practices will be on either Saturday or Sunday (sometimes both), typically with 3 hours of ice time a day with a break between the sessions (2 x 1.5 hour sessions).

- Access Additional skill sessions during the week (20+ hours OPTIONAL/NO COST) - Tuesdays @6:45 in Stavely and Wednesdays @ 7:35 in Warner.

- CAJHL Affiliation - U18 players can be affiliated with the CAJHL and will participate in a combined showcase in December in Calgary.

-  Development focus for each player to improve skills.  Each weekend, practice time is devoted to skating, passing, stick handling, and small area games.

-  Ice time - Mustangs will carry a 15 man roster max.  Each player will see fair ice time allowing each player to progress and develop as a player. 

- Simple fee structure - $2950 - no fundraising or cash calls. Includes apparel.

-  Compete in a 9 team league with other elite teams from across Alberta and BC.  Showcase
